Ian Davies

Coach & Co-Founder

I qualified as a Personal Trainer back in 2006, and since then I’ve been helping people move better, feel stronger, and regain confidence in their bodies. In 2010, I specialised in biomechanics, working closely with people recovering from chronic injuries and surgery — helping them rebuild not just fitness, but real, pain-free movement that lasts.

Before all that, football was a huge part of my life. I played semi-professionally from 2001 to 2023, and that experience shaped the way I coach today — combining the discipline of sport with a realistic, down-to-earth approach that fits around everyday life.

These days, I mix my sports background, biomechanics coaching, and strength & conditioning knowledge to help busy parents get great results — without spending hours in the gym or following complicated plans. My goal is to make fitness something that fits around your life, not the other way around.

When I’m not coaching or training, you’ll probably find me out on the golf course, chasing that perfect swing.

And something you might not know about me… I’m a twin — and a dad of twins! So believe me, I understand what it means to juggle family life while trying to stay active and healthy.

Andy Chinneck

Coach & Co-Founder

I qualified as a Personal Trainer back in 2003, and since then, I’ve helped hundreds of busy parents lose body fat, build muscle, and create real, lasting lifestyle changes. My approach is all about balance — helping you make progress while still enjoying life (and the occasional pizza).

In my younger years, I played semi-professional football, and more recently, I’ve competed at a professional level in Real Tennis. I’ve also taken on challenges like bodybuilding (fitness model category) and even completing an Ironman — so I know firsthand what it takes to set a goal, work hard, and see it through.

These days, my focus is on helping people like you find that same sense of achievement — whether that’s feeling stronger, moving better, or simply having more energy to keep up with the kids. As a dad of two young children, I completely understand how tricky it can be to juggle family, work, and everything in between, and that’s exactly why The Fit Pod is built around making fitness realistic and sustainable.

When I’m not in the gym, I’m probably working on my golf game, experimenting in the kitchen (I’m a bit of a foodie), or spending time with my family.

I love a challenge — the crazier the better! Whether it’s a new sport, a tough event, or a wild idea, I’ll always give it a go.
